ROANOKE, VA – Roanoke Police are investigating a multi-vehicle collision that killed one person and injured several others Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened shortly before 3 p.m. on Williamson Road Northeast near Clover Avenue Northeast, which is in the Avendale area of Roanoke.
Police haven’t yet shared any details regarding the crash except to say that it involved three vehicles and at least nine people.
One driver, who has not yet been identified by authorities, died at the scene.
Medics transported eight people to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
